MAJESTIC HOUSE

Our vision for this 2.45 acre site in Staines was to create a high quality 21st century sustainable business destination. The area was an emerging office precinct and our design looked to provide a ‘heart and sense of place’ for this area of Staines.

In a deliberate response to the boundary hugging, monolithic and single lump approach of the previously consented scheme, our approach aimed to break down the massing, allowing for the introduction of a more subtle variety of architectural treatments. This allowed for the introduction of much needed breathing space at ground level to provide room for communal areas.

The final design consisted of 33,000 sq m of office space, 3,300 sq m of residential and 2,000 sq m of retail with three levels of underground car parking providing 520 spaces.

The development aimed to make a significant contribution to the continuing regeneration of the area and to deliver a safe, active, people orientated urban realm.
