Thames Tower has won In-Town Office of the year at the prestigious Thames Valley Property Awards 2017.

As one of the biggest property events in the region, the awards were attended by the region’s leading developers, agents, architects, investors, lawyers, and consultants.

Two of dn-a’s projects were shortlisted for In-Town Office of the year, this included Thames Tower in Reading and The Charter Building in Uxbridge.

It was Thames Tower that came home with the prize after recently launching in early May, much to the excitement of the project team in attendance, who are delighted to have produced a knock-out building for Reading town centre.

The refurbishment was one of the standout contenders at the awards ceremony, having transformed Reading Town Centre. The building has been reconfigured and re-engineered over the past 3 years, from an “ugly, stumpy, brown building” opposite Reading Station into dynamic modern workspace which in areas, feels more like a boutique hotel than an commercial office.

Developed by the joint venture between Landid Property and Brockton Capital, the 15-storey tower has been extended by approx 65,000 sq ft to 190,000 sq ft of design-led contemporary workspace that has already attracted a number of high profile occupiers, including financial services giant HSBC, professional services firm BDO, recruitment firm Austin Fraser and natural food specialist Pret A Manger.
