HSBC, professional services firm BDO and Pret A Manger have taken up space at Thames Tower in the Centre of Reading.

Designed by dn-a and developed by Landid and Brockton Capital, the building is due to be launched in May 2017. The 15 storey development, aims to offer something completely new to Reading. Restaurants, cafés and co-working spaces will animate this dynamic project with a double-height reception creating a first impression that is both cool and contemporary.

The office accommodation is provided on fourteen upper floors above the street level reception. Panoramic 360 degree views and a generous floor-to-ceiling height of 3.1m on 1st–10th floors, 3.7m on 11th–13th floors and 4.1m on the 14th floor, provide volumes of natural light throughout the day.

BDO has taken the entire 12th floor, which totals 14,040, sq ft, on a 10-year lease. Whilst HSBC has agreed to take 9,500 sq ft on the seventh floor on a 15 year lease.

On the ground floor, Pret-A-Manger is taking a 2,500 sq ft retail unit, directly opposite the newly rebuilt £800m Reading station. This new amenity will help create a new vibrant square in the heart of Reading.

The three lettings follow Austin Fraser agreeing a deal in January to take 14,040 sq ft on the 11th floor of the building, underlining Thames Tower’s attraction to modern occupiers looking for design-led contemporary office space in amenity rich well connected urban locations.
